An Evening With Friends

Barbara Brock has won awards for her work in both pastels and printmaking. Her images often depict the New Mexico landscape capturing the unique light and atmospheric play between sky, mountains, and mesas. The painterly use of materials in her work produces a rich expressive and textural look. It is clear to the viewer that she loves the natural world.

Barbara spent her childhood in Indiana and Wisconsin. She studied fine art at the University of Wisconsin, graphic design at Madison Area Technical Collage, Madison, Wisconsin and printmaking at the University of New Mexico-Taos. Northern New Mexico has provided her with a never ending source of visual inspiration. Taos has been her home since 1981. "I am eternally grateful to Jive in the Taos art community, I feel truly blessed".
