Bill Baron is a multi-talented artist residing in Taos, New Mexico. He works in many mediums including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, hand-pulled intaglio etchings, engravings, woodblock prints and sculpture. He is also a former award-winning editorial cartoonist for the Taos News.

Baron was born in Chicago. He graduated the University of Illinois Art Department majoring in Industrial Design . He worked as a designer but was soon recruited into academia holding tenured professorial positions at North Carolina State University and the University of Illinois Art Department.

In 1969 Baron staged a show at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art: "The Baron & Bailey Light Circus" The show was well received and covered extensively by media.

Bill left academia and art to engage in his business interests. In 1993, after a career in commercial work, including executive positions with international companies and 25 years residing in New York City, Bill relocated to Taos. to pursue western and contemporary art.
