A native of Berkeley, California, I began my formal art training at the California College of Arts and Crafts before moving to Florence, Italy where I lived and worked as a scenic painter in Florence’s opera house. Back in the U.S., I worked as a commercial illustrator while expanding my practice into fine interior murals in New York. My work, spanning abstract, representational painting and assemblage has been exhibited in Seattle, Florence, San Francisco, New York and Taos. Now based in Taos, New Mexico, and represented by magpie Taos, I continue to explore the vital energy of form inspired by the Abstract Expressionistics and the spare aesthetics of Japanese art.
